Purpose and Two Parts of the Book
The purpose of this book is not to rush through content but to experience reflection — to listen with both mind and heart and then write your own thoughts by hand.
Its goal is gradual personal and family growth through sincere self-reflections and family Reflective Conversations (RCs) during and after engagement with the mentor and speaker, Dr Salman Asif Siddiqui.
Follow it sequentially in two parts:
Part A provides the essential background and builds the foundation for Part B. However, if any topic feels immediately relevant, you may go there directly — then return to the sequence for complete and comprehensive understanding of the “Big Picture.”
This 'Family Reflective Conversations' system, also includes a rich Reflection & Conversation (RC) space, the last option in the left-vertical title bar , where learners may engage in thoughtful dialogue alongside structured learning paths.
This compilation and format is a learner’s humble endeavour, emerging from a year of engagement with the Educational Resource Development Centre (ERDC) learning ecosystem, founded by Dr Salman Asif Siddiqui.
It is shared in the spirit of universal ethical responsibility — what one considers good for one's own self and one’s own family should also be wished for others, as minimum universal standard. Wishing better for others compared to what God has endowed you with is yet a higher ethical standard.
Through this shaping and sharing, I aim to reinforce my own learning while offering it to my family, friends, neighbours, relatives, colleagues and fellow learners — so that together we may discover and deepen the conceptual and practical dimensions of meaning and gratitude in modern life, in pursuit of nearness and pleasure of our Lord.
Caution: Using this knowledge in pointing fingers at others in the family (e.g., husband at wife or vice versa, parents at children or vice versa) will be counterproductive.
Every respected family member is requested, encouraged and required to keep himself or herself in focus and protect the self-respect of others all the time, to fully realise the benefits of these Conversations for the entire beloved Family.
